Legendary Shifter

The Legendary Shifter forgoes the company of an animal companion in favor of a deeper, more personal connection with the spirits of the wild. A legendary shifter gains the following benefits:

  • A legendary shifter uses wild shape as a druid two levels higher. For example, the legendary shifter gains access to wild shape at level 3, wild shape (large) at level 6, etc. The legendary shifter is still constrained by his hit dice for determining which forms he is able to shift into.
  • At 3rd level, a legendary shifter gains a bonus feat. This feat may be any feat with the [Wild] descriptor, or selected from the following list: Ability Focus, Adroit Flyby Attack, Awesome Blow, Flyby Attack, Hover, Improved Maneuverability, Improved Natural Armor, Improved Natural Attack, Improved Snatch, Large and in Charge, Multiattack, Multisnatch, Power Climb, Power Dive, Rend, Snatch, and Wingover. The druid must meet all prerequisites of the selected feat. If the selected feat does not have the [Wild] descriptor, the druid may use the feat only while using wild shape. The druid gains an additional bonus feat at 6th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 16th and 19th level.

A legendary shifter does not gain an animal companion at 1st level, and may not take an animal companion at any level. In addition, the legendary shifter does not gain A Thousand Faces at 13th level.

If the legendary shifter takes levels in a different class that grants use of an animal companion, she does not gain an animal companion (and may not take this class feature if she has an animal companion from a different class). Instead, her levels in that class stack with her druid levels to determine her bonus feats (thus, a Druid 6/Ranger 5 would gain a bonus feat upon taking her sixth level in Ranger).

Elemental

This druid forgoes her connection with the spirits of the wild in favor of focusing on her spellcasting. She gains access to two clerical domains, which must be derived from the following: Air, Cold, Earth, Fire, Metal, Moon, Ocean, Sky, Storm, Sun, Water, Weather. She gains one additional spell per spell level, which must be filled with a spell from her domains. As with the cleric, if her domain spell does not appear on the druid spell list, she may prepare the spell only in the domain spell slot.

The druid also gains the granted powers of the selected domains.

Finally, at 5th level, and every five levels thereafter, the druid gains a bonus feat, which must be either a metamagic feat or a reserve feat.

A druid who selects this class feature does not gain the use of an animal companion.
